Dr. Mark Bridgen, Professor of Horticulture at Cornell University, will be joining us via Zoom to talk about propagating plants.

This presentation will be given by Dr. Mark Bridgen a professor of horticulture from Cornell University; Dr. Bridgen has been teaching plant propagation for more than 35 years. He will give you the information that you will need to successfully propagate plants. He will cover the environmental factors that need to be considered when propagating plants, components of a propagation medium, and what you need to know about propagation containers. He will also explain various aspects of sexual and asexual propagation techniques. These include seed dormancy and how to overcome it, seed sowing, cutting propagation, layering, leaf and root cuttings, grafting, and in vitro micropropagation.
